The city of Freiburg successfully relies on the SaaS.de cloud solution from EGOTEC AG, supplemented by an on-premise installation for the specific requirements of the city hall. This hybrid system enables flexible and efficient management of over 50 buildings with around 500 rooms.
Main functions of the solution:
- Cloud management: citizens* and associations can submit rental requests for rooms and halls of the city via a public platform.
- On-premise security: The premises of the city hall are managed via a local installation, secured by Keycloak as an authentication service.
- Data management: Over one million bookings have already been processed in the system, with historical bookings being regularly cleansed to ensure system efficiency.
With this comprehensive solution, the city of Freiburg not only simplifies the management of rooms and bookings, but also offers citizens and associations user-friendly access to rental applications.
Initial setup & training
Implementation and training were carried out by EGOTEC AG in close cooperation with the city's administrators. Training sessions were held both on site and remotely, totalling approx. 8 training days to ensure a smooth introduction.
Hosting & operation

- The on-premise installation complements the system and provides additional security in the city's internal network.

DECHEMA - Room administration and event management

DECHEMA e.V. - Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology - promotes interdisciplinary dialogue between experts, organisations and generations. Since the introduction of the first room management software from EGOTEC AG, DECHEMA has relied on our solutions. In addition, a special complex event module was created for the customer.
